Entitlement is the issue here” netizens reacts as Igwe Credo calls out Kcee over not giving him a single dime for Ojapiano
Igwe Credo, the owner of the Oja Piano Sound that KCee had used in his viral music, has come forward to voice his grievances against KCee and his brother E-Money. In a recent interview, he disclosed that he had not received sufficient compensation for KCee using his sound, revealing that he had only been paid 500,000 Naira in total.
He described how he had been accommodated by KCee and his team, staying in a hotel. However, he mentioned that at some point, he and his crew had to use their own money to cover their meals and transportation expenses. KCee had given them 200,000 Naira and promised additional funds later, but these funds were never delivered.
Igwe Kwedu also stated that KCee had pledged to provide them with clothes he wasn’t using, but these clothes were never received. Additionally, he shared how people, including members of KCee’s crew, advised him to focus on making more music and becoming viral himself instead of waiting for royalties from KCee.
However, his primary request to KCee was not financial gain. He expressed a desire for publicity and fame, hoping that KCee would help him gain exposure and recognition so that he could create and promote his music. Regrettably, KCee did not fulfill this request and simply instructed him to pay the bloggers himself, even though he lacked the necessary funds.
Igwe Kwedu’s frustration revolves around the fact that he believes he has not been adequately compensated for KCee’s use of his Oja Piano Sound, which had gained international attention and generated substantial income for KCee.
